Event Coordinator

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Event Coordinator at Rainbow Routes Association. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, arranging and executing work for the Sudbury Camino, as well as additional summer programs. These programs include our current walk and hike events such as the English Conversations on the Trails, Inclusive Trail Trekkers, Monthly Hike Club and Nature Walks. The role is located in Sudbury, ON, but some remote work is acceptable. It will be necessary for the Event Coordinator to be on site for many of these programs on weekdays, evenings as well as periodically on weekends.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills via email, phone and in person,

  • Organizational skills and project management skills,

  • Problem solving skills,

  • Leadership skills,

  • Time management skills,

  • Proficient in Mailchimp or other e-newsletter,

  • Social media skills are an asset, but not required. 

  • French communication skills would be considered an asset.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills,

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment,

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills,

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and Google Suite,

  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector is preferred,

  • College diploma or degree in marketing or public relations is preferred.

Salary

  • $16.55 per hour.

Hours

  • 35 hours per week over a 6-week period.

Social Media Coordinator

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Social Media Coordinator at Rainbow Routes Association. The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for executing on all platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and others where necessary. They will also communicate with local community stakeholders, partners, grant funders and sponsors where necessary. And throughout the Rainbow Routes Community, they will lead our membership drive as well, to increase connection and support. The role is located in Sudbury, ON, but some remote work is acceptable. Being present at community events on days and weekends will be an important part of the role.

Website & Techonolgy Specialist

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Website & Technology Specialist at Rainbow Routes Association. The Website & Technology Specialist will be responsible for visiting different trail sites, taking photos and updating the website with the most current trail information. They will also access trail use information from our trail counters in the community. They will also work closely with other team members to support their projects and update the website for additional programs and events. The role is located in Sudbury, ON, but some remote work is acceptable.

  • Digital marketing and content management systems 

  • Proficient in Canva,

  • French communication skills would be considered an asset.
