About the Hike
Are you a newcomer to Greater Sudbury looking to get involved in the community?
This is a walk which aims to welcome all newcomers and and those who speak English as a second language to interact with our local trails within Greater Sudbury. Everyone is welcome to join in on this hike. Held in partnership with the Greater Sudbury Public Library!
This months hike will explore how to get to and enter Rotary Park from Barry Downe Rd.
Hike Details
When: Friday, Septembber 20th 2024
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Please arrive 15 minutes early)
Meeting Place: 555 Barry Downe Rd, in front of the Rexall pharmacy
Trail Surface: Sidewalks with gravel pathways when we enter Rotary Park (stairs will be optional near the end of the hike).
Length: 4.8 km
Dress: Comfortable walking shoes, hat and water.
Duration: 2 hours
Important Information
Pre-registration is required to participate in the hike. This ensures that you receive all last-minute notifications, including weather-related cancellations or any changes to the event plan. Note that you will receive a confirmation email the day before the hike.
Our hikes are designed to accommodate participants capable of walking on outdoor trails. Look out for organizers in RRA dark blue vests at the event for any assistance or questions you may have.
