Lake Laurentian Conservation Area
Lake Laurentian Conservation Area (LLCA) is a scenic natural area minutes away from Sudbury's urban core. The LLCA provides a tranquil wilderness setting, offering 2,400 acres of protected green space accessible to everyone.
The LLCA offers year round activities - hiking, biking, paddling, bird watching, fishing, snowshoeing and groomed cross country ski trails. The Nature Chalet is centrally located on the shores of Lake Laurentian. It is in close proximity to the public canoe launch and area hiking trails.
LLCA trail conditions and maps are found on Conservation Sudbury's website. Winter hikers, please respect cross country ski trails by ensuring you stay on snowshoe trails.
Within the LLCA is also the BioSki Cross-Country and Showshoe Club, responsible for maintaining numerous trails for classical skiing and snowshoeing. Visit the Bioski webpage for hours of operation and details.
