The Trans Canada Trail
The Trans Canada Trail (TCT) (formerly known as the The Great Trail) is a series of connected links that stretches across the entire country from East to West to North. The 24,000 km long trail will be the longest recreational trail in the world, offering a wide range of activities through a variety of landscapes – urban, rural and wilderness – along greenways, waterways and roadways.
The RRA was originally formed in 1998 to establish the TCT in Greater Sudbury. With the 93 km Sudbury section now connecting Nairn Centre in the West, to Downtown Sudbury to Coniston and beyond, the association remains committed to the promotion and enhancement of the TCT in Greater Sudbury.
