The event is a joint presentation with the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee, which is celebrating its 25th year.
The RRA July Hike Club will explore the diversity of life and other features along the Madison-LaSalle section of the Junction Creek Waterway Park Trail. We will observe the efforts of the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee in planting trees and shrubs and in controlling erosion along the creek.

Distance: 4 km
Terrain: Urban streets, sidewalks and maintained trails
Meeting place: New Sudbury Shopping Centre bus terminal (beside Sport Chek)

We will catch the 9:35 am #20 Bus to Lansing/Brookview Glen. From there we will access the JCWP trail and walk back to the New Sudbury Shopping Centre. Note: GOVA fare is $4.00. Exact change or a bus pass is required.
The RRA Hike Club is a great way to experience Greater Sudbury trails in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Led by an experienced hiker, different trails are selected for each hike to help you discover Greater Sudbury's trail network. Hikes typically run the first Saturday of each month and are free of charge. The location and flavour of each hike changes month to month and is dependent on seasons, hike leaders, and... well, whichever way the volunteer team takes it!
To help us run smooth events, online registration and waivers are required by each participant for each hike. By registering, you'll receive a reminder email the day before, and/or be notified of any last minute changes or cancelations. Hikes run in all but the very worst of weather so please come prepared with proper footwear and clothing.
We typically share details about future hikes one to two weeks in advance on our homepage, Facebook, and Instagram. We send email newsletter reminders when possible.
